Concluding Remarks

A wealth of information remains to be mined from the annual and seasonal time series of each study variable. This awaits future resources. It will also be beneficial to continue populating the NJ Climate Report Card daily database and expand analyses to include different variables.

For now, this project, both this stage and its predecessor, demonstrates the efficacy and importance of evaluating New Jersey's climate using a creative multivariate approach. Should future funding be acquired, in addition to the tasks mentioned in the previous paragraph, further work should include: 1) an evaluation of model projections of the selected variables in order to permit the identification of critical anthropogenic change thresholds, and 2) the creation of a multivariate index or indices to provide a powerful, synthetic means of presenting study results to decision makers and the general public.
