Cool and Damp?
September 2006 Climate Summary

While it is somewhat of a misnomer to categorize this past September by the cool and damp title above, the ninth month of this year was the first since December 2005 with statewide temperatures below average. The average temperature was 64.9°F, 0.4° below normal. It was the 53rd coolest September of the past 112 years.

Precipitation totaled 5.82”, which is 1.67” above average and ranks as the 16th wettest since 1895. Thus ended a summer that began wet (June), was about an inch wetter than average in July and an inch below average in August.
